Like all great inventions, the 3-4/4-2-5 High Pressure Defense System was born out of necessity. Faced with a variety of successful offensive schemes and highly skilled players year in and year out, our program needed to gain a fundamental and tactical advantage in order to level the playing field and gain superiority over our opponents. It was with this in mind that this system was created.

Merging the basic concepts of both the 3-4 and 4-2-5 defense, this system seamlessly blends the two and allows the defense to move freely between an odd and even front, while combining the same pressure patterns, and pass coverages to defend multiple offensive systems. If you're looking for a way to be multiple through simplicity while putting your best players in a position to be successful, then this system is for you.

Coach, would you be able to send a copy of your Power Point on the 3-4/4-2-5 Pressure defense? My email is: lawrence.ds@easthartford.org

I am trying to get a consensus on Corner alignment, Turning in 45 degree with outside leverage or standard shoulder square, moving inside, head up or outside. This is related to zone. After 46 years I am very skeptical of turn in, aligned outside to see QB play.

Coach, can you explain what your GROOT adjustment is?
