DARKSIDE 4-2-5 DEFENSE SYSTEM
Darkside 4-2-5 Defense System

The Darkside 4-2-5 Defense System is a system that relies heavily on the versatility of its players to be successful. It sacrifices size for speed and athleticism, which allows athletes to make the plays that fit their ability. This system works well when athletes can play multiple positions, especially in the back seven. This is a one gap system and spills any misdirection plays outside to the over hang players or quarters safeties. This is not a heavy pressure system, but it focuses on stopping teams in its base defense looks. This system would be a great addition to your program.

Coach Brown, Was on Glazer and got your contact info. Steve Masotti with Immaculata in N.J. Need your take on corner coverage in zone 2,3,or quarters and proper stance. We are having a discussion on shoulder turn in, 45 degrees outside the receiver , as opposed to stand shoulder square inside or outside leverage. Is there any advantage to this positioning. Can you give me your opinion, the reasoning behind can read the coverage dose not seem to fit with me. It’s a turf change after 47 years of coaching. Would appreciate any info on this subject. Thanks Coach Masotti 973 615 6235 |
